At HWPP we optimise our locality; Children benefit from outings to support their learning, be it a trip to the post office to send a letter, or to the supermarket to buy produce to cook with. Whether it be access by foot, train or bus, our aim is to give children wider experiences to develop an understanding of the world around them.

It’s fair to say we are spoilt with the wonderful surroundings we find ourselves in; consequently, staff and children value this domain with woods and fields on our doorstep. There is little hesitation to get out and about be it rain or shine and explore nature, from the changing of the seasons, to bird watching or flower naming. The magic of these woodlands is a gift and we take every opportunity to encompass ‘forest schooling’ allowing children to harness their curiosity.
