Our Staff
“As individuals we excel but as a team, we are formidable.”
Here at HWPP we pride ourselves on recruiting highly qualified diverse and multi-lingual staff whose ethos and principles reflect our own. With high expectations staff display admirable attributes; dedication and commitment with the ability to be proactive and supportive as a team. Our slogan reiterates how we seek to deliver the very best education and care to all our children, hence why parents/carers feel so reassured when they leave their prized possessions, their little ones with us.
Our nursery is fortunate to have among its 6 regular staff: Angie Roberts, with over 9 years’ experience working at HWPP, is qualified Early Years Professional Status & Early Years Teacher Status (Level 6) who leads as Supervisor. Additionally, there are 4 senior practitioners with Cache Level 3 , 1 with Cache Level 2 and 1 with Level 3 in Health & Social Care. There are separate leaders for both the Preschool and Playgroup. However, the Preschool Supervisor is in overall charge of the whole setting.
All staff are valued equally and HWPP ensures that each individual maintains a continued professional development programme to keep abreast of Childcare and Management issues and any changes in legislation. All our staff are trained in the following areas with appointed leads in each area:
- Paediatric First Aid
- Child Protection/Safeguarding

In both cohorts we are proud of the high ratio of staff to children (often exceeding statutory requirements) which ensures individual attention to the needs and development of every child. A key person system is operated, and each child is allocated a member of staff for support during their time at HWPP. This can change during transition from Caterpillars to Butterflies, however, the emphasis is for all children to feel comfortable and confident to approach any member of staff to help them.
